The Monte Vista Women's Lacrosse program was formed in 1997.  The team is part of the Division I East Bay Athletic League (EBAL).  Other teams in EBAL include Amador Valley, California, Carondelet, Dougherty Valley, Dublin, Foothill, Granada, Livermore, and San Ramon Valley.  Monte Vista Women's Lacrosse team has won first place in EBAL three times (2009, 2010, and 2015) and second place twice (2007 and 2016).

EBAL is one of many leagues in the North Coast Section (NCS) and there are currently 31 Division I teams that compete in NCS.  ​North Coast Section started holding NCS championship competitions in 2004.  The Monte Vista Women's Lacrosse team has held the NCS DI championship title twice (2009 and 2010) and come in second place twice (2008 and 2016).
